Ground
Penetrating Radar
- Ground penetrating radar data recorded from the Ross Ice Shelf in
Antarctica.
- Data represents ice density at different depths.
- Depth is mapped to instrument type.
- 8 instruments evenly divide the 200 meter depth.
- Density value is converted to a pitch in a major scale
- Each scan of the radar is identified by a percussive 'chick' sound
and contains 8 notes/values per instrument for a total of 64 notes per
scan.
